Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Williams, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE FEASIBILITY STUDY AND <br />ORDERING THE PREPARATION OF PLANS AND SPECIFICATION FOR THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF THE PHASE I UTILITY AND STREET IMPROVEMENT; <br />AND CONSIDERATION OF THE ADJUSTMENTS AND MODIFICATIONS <br />DISCUSSED. WHEN FEASIBLE. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Jeanetta presented the 1993/94 Labor Agreement with Law Enforcement <br />Labor Services, Local 113. <br /> <br />The provisions of the settlement include: two year contract with increases <br />of 2.8% in 1993 and 2.9% in 1994 and adjustment according to Stanton <br />survey; increase of $25/month for health insurance; increase of $10/month <br />in 1994 for detective or corporal assigned duties; increase of $10/year in <br />1993 and $20/year in 1994 for clothing; allowances in dental plan; City <br />payment of body armor and carriers; and Drug Recognition Expert training <br />for SELF Certificate. The first three items are similar to previously settled <br />Public Works contracts, and wage increases are similar to those given to <br />nonunion employees. The 1993 budget is adequate to cover the increases. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION APPROVING THE LABOR AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON AND LAW ENFORCEMENT <br />LABOR SERVICES. INC.
