<br />We, the users of Stiver Lake Road, are opposed to the current proposal to
<br />widen Sliver Lake Road from 1-694 to Sliver Lane at a cost of $3,3 mIllIon, In the
<br />future, we are concerned about the negative Jmpact of a bigger road through the
<br />middle of New Brighton.
<br />We support preserving the environment by bui Iding roads that provide
<br />alternative ways to travel besides using a car, We want to walk on the sidewalks
<br />without bicycles on them, We want to bicycle safely on the paved shoulders'of the
<br />road so we can safely travel before we can drive. As adults we want to save on
<br />gasoline. We want a road that is safe for cars, bicycles, and pedestrians.
<br />We want to keep our community attractive by preserving the trees along the
<br />road and not taking away several feet of the front yards,
