<br />Council Member DOilJp~.~1:clted her disapproval of a large dollar amount item as a
<br />consent item, stating slj~felt an explanation should be given. Grant Wyffels,
<br />Director of Public WorkS 'Outlined the 5 items included in the total amount. It was
<br />stated that a future savings of $400,000 was expected in the fIrst item.
<br />_pon digging at the site, additional conditions were uncovered.
<br />~ouncil Member Doffmg questioned the reason for not knowing what was under
<br />the surface. Mr. Wyffels explained that there were appliances uncovered that the
<br />City was not aware of. Soil testing also did not show all of the muck needed to be
<br />extracted, Council Member Doffmg questioned our ability to go back to the prior
<br />owner, and if there were any terms that was included in the purchase.
