<br />Council member Doffmg stated it was her intention to have the City Attorney
<br />~ the process.
<br />~e City Attorney suggested starting the process the beginning of 2007 if the intent
<br />was to hold an election in 2007.
<br />Council Member Hoffman suggested to direct staff to look into this.
<br />Council Member Bauman stated she is not in favor of changing the election, and a
<br />savings of$13,000 is not significant, additionally she is opposed to the other
<br />council members gaining an extra year. Council Member Bauman stated this
<br />issue has been discussed at great length, and didn't feel staff needed to loo1<.,.into
<br />this any further; it is her thought that this is the forum to decide the outcc>.me.
<br />There was extensive discussion. Council Member Bauman stated thatthe .
<br />possibility exists for the three of them to withdraw the $13,000 fromth~budget;
