<br />Director of Corrununity Development, Grant Femelius explained the amendments

<br />Council Member Doffmg requested an explanation of "Foregoing their rights for
<br />development,"
<br />Mr. Femelius stated that Sherman Associates has the rights to develop an Office
<br />Project on the former Keys Restaurant site, That right nms through December 31,
<br />2006, Part of the amended agreement states that the developer has agreed to give
<br />up those development rights, that means that once this amendment is executed
<br />the City has the right to market that site to other developers,
<br />

<br />Council Member Bauman questioned the Comprehensive plan from 1997, Mr.
<br />Black explained there was no link between the comprehensive plan and the
<br />~hase of Hany's bar.
<br />WIs. Troha explained that there are two separate plans, a comprehensive plan and
<br />an Old Highway 8 conidor plan.

<br />the demolition contract for 715 and 389 Old Highway 8 NW to Roger Peterson
