<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, May <br />26, 1992, at 7:35 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Gunderman. Larson, Rebelein and Williams. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />David Childs, City Manager <br />Margaret Egan, Finance Director <br />John Kelley, Police Chief <br />Erny Mattila, City Planner <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br /> <br />Council Agenda <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman. seconded by Williams. to APPROVE THE COUNCIL <br />AGENDA. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes. Motion Carried, <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Larson. seconded by Benke. to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE MAY 12,1992 COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with Council consent received the minutes of the Human <br />Rights Commission - March 17, 1992; Environmental Quality Commission - <br />April 8, 1992; Planning Commission - April 21, 1992; and Economic <br />Development Commission - April 7 and May 5, 1992. <br /> <br />50ecial Order of Business <br /> <br />New Brighton community volunteers have been invited to a picnic dinner on <br />June 2, to recognize their contributions to the City. <br /> <br />Mayor Benke PROCLAIMED JUNE 2, 1992. AS COMMUNITY <br />RECOGNITION DAY IN THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Rebelein, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A $240 DONATION FROM GOING <br />PLACES TRAVEL TO BE USED FOR THE D.A.R.E. PROGRAM. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes. Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Williams. to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPT THE RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A $101.35 DONATION FROM THE <br />SUNNYSIDE P.T.A. TO BE USED FOR THE D.A.R.E.
