<br />-I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday. March <br />24, 1992, at 7:32 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Gunderman, Larson, Rebelein and Williams, <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Maurie Anderson, Park and Recreation Director <br />David Childs, City Manager <br />Margaret Egan, Finance Director <br />Kevin locke. Community Development Director <br />Rick Wriskey. City Forester <br /> <br />Council Agenda <br /> <br />Report 92-060. County Road H Sidewalk, was moved to Council Business; <br />and Report 92-071, Fredrikson and Byron, was moved up in order, <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Williams. to APPROVE THE AMENDED <br />COUNCIL AGENDA. <br /> <br />5 A yes - 0 Nayes. Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Williams. to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE MARCH 10, 1992, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with Council consent, received the minutes of the Financial <br />POlicy Advisory Board - February 18, February 26 and March 17, 1992. <br /> <br />Scecial Order of Business <br /> <br />City Manager David Childs said the City annually provides a $500 payment <br />to the New Brighton Area Historical Society (NBAHS). Because the Depot <br />Renovation has increased the NBAHS funding needs, the City offered to <br />provide the following in-house assistance: provide staff to organize and <br />mail the NBAHS quarterly newsletter, assess no water or sewer charges at <br />the Depot, and continuation of the annual $500 payment. <br /> <br />Finance Director Margaret Egan estimates that the annual assessment for <br />water and sewer charges at the Depot to be about $100. <br /> <br />Gayle Bromander, NBAHS, thanked the City for its generous support. and <br />reviewed the Depot's current and future renovations. <br /> <br />Council commended the NBAHS for its efforts in continuing the <br />preservation of the City's history. <br /> <br />Council Aaenda <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />50ecial Order of <br />Business <br /> <br />NBHS Payment <br />Report 92-058 <br />
