<br />,I <br />/ <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held Tuesday, <br />January 14, 1992, at 7:32 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Councilmembers Rebelein, Gunderman, Larson, and Williams. <br /> <br />Absent: Mayor Benke <br /> <br />Also Present: Maurie Anderson, Park and Recreation Director <br />David Childs, City Manager <br />Charlie LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Mark Bishop, Fire Marshal <br /> <br />Council Minutes Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE DECEMBER 10, 1991, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />With Council consent, Acting Mayor Rebelein, received the minutes of <br />the Citizen Study Commission - November 20, 1991; Economic <br />Development Commission - December 4, 1991; Environmental Quality <br />Commission - November 13, 1991; and Human Rights Commission - <br />November 19,1991. <br /> <br />Soecial Order of Business <br /> <br />Acting Mayor Rebelein PROCLAIMED JANUARY 26 THROUGH <br />FEBRUARY 1. 1992. AS ST. JOHN THE BAPTIST SCHOOL WEEK. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING <br />AND ADOPT THE RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM JOHN <br />AND SHIRLEY REIBOLD FOR THE D.A.R.E. PROGRAM. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried. <br /> <br />Don Hickerson, New Brighton Eagles, presented a $1,500 donation to <br />the New Brighton Fire Department's "Learn Not to Burn Program". <br /> <br />Mark Bishop, Fire Marshal, thanked the Eagles for their generous <br />donation.
