The revenues <br />are property taxes, State aids, customer charges and other. The table in this section shows the <br />amount of each revenue. <br /> <br />The City's finance policy reserves property taxes and State aids for programs which are of general <br />benefit. Examples of such programs would be parks, public safety, fire, streets, and elections. <br /> <br />Customer charges are used for situations where there is a direct benefit to a particular party and a <br />cost per customer can be determined. Common fees are found for construction inspections, <br />business licenses, water and sewer usage, and golf course rounds. <br /> <br />Other is the last revenue type and consists of items which are secondary to the primary conduct of <br />City business. Examples of other revenues would be interest earnings and transfers.
