The
findings were presented to the four City Councils, at which time agreed to
establish a 21 member multi-city task force. The New Brighton Council
will appoint 6 members to the task force.

Benke feels the committee has done an excellent job in focusing on the
needs of this specific interest group.

Williams is impressed by the collaboration efforts between the four cities.

Task Force applications should be received by the end of August.

I

Motion by Williams, seconded by Gunderman. to WAIVE THE READING
AND ADOPT A RESOLUTION OF SUPPORT FOR A MULTI
JURISDICTIONAL SENIOR CITIZEN CENTER TASK FORCE; AND DEVELOP
A PROCESS FOR SELECTION OF THE SIX MEMBERS INCLUDING ASKING
THE MEDIA TO PRINT A "CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS" PRESS RELEASE,
WITH SELECTION OF THE SIX MEMBERS TO BE MADE AT THE FIRST
MEETING IN SEPTEMBER.

5 Ayes ~ 0 Nayes, Motion Carried.

Childs presented an update on the Oak Grove landfill litigation.

The Potentially Responsible Party Group (PRP) identified the City of New
Brighton as a PRP with two shares of responsibility at a maximum value of
$24,000/per share.
