<br />-, <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO 85-110 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAr1SEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FOR SQUASH FESTIVAL, SPONSORED BY NEW BRIGHTON LIONS <br />CLUB, A CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON CIVIC CELEBRATION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Squash Festival is a City of New Brighton <br />annual Civic Celebration with historical significance; and <br />I <br />:I WHEREAS, the use of public facilities to sponsor competition! <br />events, concerts, dances, concession stands and other ' <br />recreational activities that are for the benefit of the public <br />are permitted in conjunction with the celebration. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: <br /> <br />1. That the Squash Festival may run for a period not to <br />exceed three consecutive days. <br />2. That if the use of public facilities, public equipment, <br />public utilities, staff time or public safety assistance <br />is to be requested such requests be submitted at least <br />thirty (30) days prior to such event with a list of each <br />Squash Festival activity, location, time and dates. <br />3. That if use of public facilities is requested liability <br />insurance co-insuring the City of New Brighton in the <br />amount of $1,000,000 or the limitations of liability <br />provided by Minnesota Statute Chapter 466. whichever is <br />greater be submitted. <br />4. That any and all activities that include the service of <br />food and/or beverages to the public will be permitted <br />with approval of the City Sanitarian (provided the <br />Squash Festival is held within the New Brighton City <br />limits). <br />5. That banners and other temporary signs advertising the <br />civic celebration are permitted, provided such signs do <br />not cause a safety hazard and permission is obtained <br />from property owners to locate such signs on private <br />property.
