Legislative History: Resolution 01-032 adopted April 10, 2001 established the City's Street Light Policies. . Financial Impact: The proposed new street light would be a standard 100 watt high pressure sodium light mounted on the existing power pole. The electric power to the street light would be powered off of the existing power pole. AU street lights are leased from Xcel Energy. The current rate for the new street light will be $9.22 per month. AU cost will be paid from the Street Light Fund. Explanation: The purpose of this item is to recommend the installation of one new City street light on an existing power pole at 2120 Long Lake Road. The attached map shows the locations of existing street lights on Long Lake Road, as well as the recommended new street light. A petition signed by all of the residents in the vicinity of the new street light is attached and the street light conforms to the City's adopted street lighting policy in that the spacing between existing street lights exceeds the minimum requirements. The street lighting policy states that street lights shaU be instaUed at a minimum spacing of 660 feet along all skeletal system sidewalks, bikeways, designated bike lanes, and bike routes. -- Gra t M.
