Report No, 06-233. <br /> <br />Acting City Manager Jeanna Troha introduced David Black, the Assistant <br />Community Development Director. <br /> <br />Motion by Cotmcil Member Burg seconded by Council Member Doffing to open the <br />Public Hearing, <br /> <br />Mayor Larson Opened the Public Hearing. <br /> <br />Council Member Doffmg requested a description ofTIF district #33 and the rational <br />behind it, Mr. Black responded this is involved with the redevelopment of the former <br />Marv's Transmission site. The site was purchased by the City for redevelopment. <br />The creation of a TIF district would allow the City to reimburse itself for a portion of <br />the clean up costs associated with the site. The City would intend to market the site <br />for future quality redevelopment, which would be a positive addition to the downtown <br />area, <br /> <br />layor Larson gave an opportunity for additional questions or comments. Consideration of Request for Qualifications Process for Northwest <br />Quadrant Mixed-Use Development. Report No, 06-235, <br /> <br />IAssistant Director of Community Development, David Black, explained that this is <br />the second request for qualifications that the City has developed, The first Request <br />for Qualification was for the current housing development. This request for <br />qualifications would pertain to the east side of the Northwest Quadrant. The <br />development would include components of retail, housing, and some commercial, <br />including future development of a City park.
