Council Consideration
Temporary Certificate of Occupancy
April 8, 1975

Request: Council authorization of Temporary Certificate of
Occupancy for Design Fiberglass expansion

Applicant: Design Fiberglass

Location: 315 5th Ave. NW

Discussion:

The status of the application with regard to the requirements
of Section 404:26 is as follows:

1. Final inspection made and all building code requirements
are met.

2. All permit fees have been paid.

3. All water and sewer charges have been paid.

4. Off street parking areas are available and usable.

5. No landscaping contract has been presented, only scattered
plantings, curbing and a fence remain to be installed.

6. Estimated cost of uncompleted work is $2,200.00.
The applicant proposes to open a savings account jointly
with the City of New Brighton, the money in which would
be available to guarantee completion of the landscaping
work. The Administration sees no problem with this manner
of dealing with the guarantee. The details of the arrange-
ment need to be worked out, however, and we would recommend
if the Council approves the Temporary Certificate of
Occupancy, it do so on the condition that the applicant
provide appropriate financial guarantees either in the
form of a bond, a savings account, certified check, or
in some other form.

with the exception of this one condition, the elements
nece~sary to permit issuance of a Temporary Certificate of
Occupancy are present.
