Ii <br />\I <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO <br /> <br />85-42 <br /> <br />., <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION FOR STOCKYARD DAYS, INC., SPONSORS OF IISTOCKYARD DAYSII <br />THE CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON'S ANNUAL CIVIC CELEBRATION <br /> <br />t <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Stockyard Days is the City of New Brighton's annual <br />civic celebration; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the use of city parks and city property to sponsor <br />competition events, concerts, dances, concession stands, and <br />other recreational activities that are for the benefit of the <br />public are permitted in conjunction with the celebration. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT: <br /> <br />1. The Stockyard Days celebration may run for a period not <br />to exceed seven consecutive days; <br />2. Stockyard Days, Inc. must submit to the City at least <br />thirty (30) days prior to such event a list of each <br />activity, its location, time, and date; and a list of <br />all equipment, public utilities, staff time, and public <br />safety assistance that is requested from the City; <br />3. Stockyard Days, Inc. must submit liability insurance <br />CO-insuring the City of New Brighton in the amount of <br />$1,000,000 or the limitations of liability provided by <br />Minnesota Statute Chapter 466, whichever is greater; <br />4. Any and all activities that include the service of food <br />and/or beverages to the public will be permitted with <br />approval of the City Sanitarian; and <br />5. Banners and temporary signs advertising the civic <br />celebration are permitted, provided such signs do not <br />cause a safety hazard and permission is obtained from <br />property owners to locate such signs on private property. <br />Three such temporary ground signs, not to exceed ninety- <br />six (96) square feet each will be allowed within the <br />city. Banners and temporary signs may be erected no <br />earlier than thirty (30) days prior to the beginning <br />of the celebration and must be removed prior to seven <br />(7) days fOllowing the last day of the event. <br /> <br />B~ IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager shall have the <br />authori~y to allocate the time and assistance of city personnel <br />and proVide access to city equipment for such events to the <br />degree the City Manager feels it is appropriate and necessary to <br />insure public safety; and <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City Manager shall issue a <br />follow-up report to the Council detailing the time and monies <br />allocated by the City in the Stockyard Days celebration. <br /> <br />Adopted this 23rd day of April, 1985. <br /> <br />~-~.. . t8~ <br /> <br />Greg~ Harcus.
