Council Consideration
Building Permit
August 13, 1974

Request: Council authorization of building permit to expand
manufacturing plant.

Applicant: Harold Haines

Location: 50 Cleveland Ave.

Zoning: I-1

Valuation: $45,000.00

Size of Addition: 40' x 130' ; 13' high %

Exterior Treatment: Painted concrete block

Discussion:

The applicant has provided a complete landscape and plot
plan. All Code requirements have been met with the exception
of the curbing discussed in VN-127 and the possible exception of
the exterior treatment of the building.

The applicant is proposing to paint the entire building with
a super-graphic, an illustration of which he will have at the
Council meeting. The question the Council must decide is whether
this is an architectural treatment equal to the others listed
in Section 10-130 (L). If the Council finds that it is not,
the applicant will put a brick front on the building expansion
but not on the remainder of the building front. This would not
meet Code requirements.

The Planning Commission discussion and recommendation are
contained on the green sheet for VN-127.
