<br />COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br />Building Permit <br />October 22, 1974 <br /> <br />Request: Council authorization of building permit for building <br />expansion <br /> <br />Applicant: UOP Johnson <br /> <br />Location: 1950 Old Highway 8 <br /> <br />Size of Expansion: 3001 x 320' <br /> <br />Exterior Treatment: Break-off Block and metal panels <br /> <br />Discussion: <br /> <br />The applicant is proposing a 96,000 square foot addition to the <br />present building. The only changes that will be made to the <br />site itself except for the area where the expansion will be are: <br /> <br />1. The existing fence facing Old 8 will be adjacent <br />to the expanded building as shown on the plans; <br /> <br />2. Roof drains for the expansion will be tied in <br />to existing catch basins in the parking lot; <br /> <br />3. The concrete loading area on the south side of <br />the building will be expanded to accommodate new <br />loading docks. <br /> <br />We see no problem with the proposed expansion. All Code <br />rp.quirements are met. Principal Code requirements are as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1. Parking - 20U spaces required <br />280 spaces provided <br /> <br />2. Floor-Area Ratio - .4 maximum allowed by Code <br />.17 lot coverage <br />.33 land coverage (water ar~excluded) <br /> <br />3. Eront Yard Setback - 40 feet required <br />40 feet provided <br /> <br />All required information is provided on the plans. <br />
