<br />COUNCIL CONSIDERATION <br />Building Permit <br />November 26, 1974 <br /> <br />Request: <br /> <br />Council authorization of building permit for expansion to <br />present building <br /> <br />Applicant: <br /> <br />Anoka County Farm Bureau <br /> <br />Location: <br /> <br />1427 Old Hwy 8 <br /> <br />Zoninq; <br /> <br />I-2 <br /> <br />Size of Buildinq; 221 x 36' ~ 13~' high <br /> <br />Exterior Treatment: Brick veneer and rnasonite siding with cedar <br />shake mansard <br /> <br />Discussion: <br />The proposed expansion will meet all code requirements and will not <br />expand any non-conformities. Adequate parking is available (8 spaces <br />required~ 9 provided) and lot coverage is well under the .3 limit. <br /> <br />Proposed site work involves sodding only the area north of the building <br />from the front to the rear of the expansion. It was proposed by the <br />Planning Commission and agreed to by the applicant that some low shrubs <br />be planted in front of the building. The size, typ~ and location of <br />these plantings should be shown on the plan and the boundary of the <br />sodded area should also be shown. <br /> <br />Planninq Commission Consideration (11/19/74) <br />The Chairman read the background discussion. <br /> <br />Leroy Zamor and Norman Brunn were present to represent the applicant. <br /> <br />In reply~ to a question from the Chairman, Mr, Zamor indicated that <br />the sod would extend to the rear of the building expansion. He also <br />agreed to plant some low shrubs in front of the building. <br /> <br />Planninq Commission Recommendation (11/19/74) <br />Motion by Partyka, seconded by Bohling, to recommend approval of LP-16 <br />with the addition of 6-8 low shrubs on the west side of the building <br />and perhaps with the addition of a tree on the north. <br />Motion carried 3-0 <br />
