VIPS <br /> <br />Comm, Kerns provided the following VIPS report: <br />D The VIPS continue to prepare the monthly Fire Department meeting dinner. <br />D The VIPS had a good discussion regarding Project Lifesaver. They have now raised <br />about $3,500. Bob Parrott spoke with the people at Project Lifesaver and they <br />suggested getting the transmitter and wrist bands and not waiting until all the money <br />is raised. The receipt of this equipment may prompt more donations. Also, a VIPS <br />member is willing to donate their frequent flyer miles to help defray the training cost. <br />Project Lifesaver will be promoted more aggressively at National Night Out this year. <br />Comm, Kerns will ask Bob Parrott to put together a reduced I get. <br />D The VIPS will work with Officer Paetznick on ajoint graffiti rt with the VIPS <br />and Reserves. Comm. There are possible Federal grant funds available to assist in providing safe <br />walkways (trails) for youth. <br />D There was a pandemic training at the last Ramsey County League of Local <br />
