Financial Impact: <br />N/A <br /> <br />Explanation: <br /> <br />On October 24, 2006, Council held a public hearing at the request of Penrod Lane LLC, <br />regarding the revocation of the multi family license for their property known as Timber Crest <br />Apartments, This property, located at 2090 thru 2160 W Cty Rd E, had exceeded the maximum <br />threshold of calls for service under City Code Chapter 13, Multi Family Licensing, Council <br />concluded that the Timber Crest multi family property is only eligible for a provisional license <br />and therefore took action to revoke the multi family license, This results in the requirement for <br />this property to apply for a provisional license which includes paying an elevated licensing fee, <br />training of management in crime free housing and requiring the submission of a mitigation plan, <br />This plan must address initiatives to reduce criminal behavior on this property, <br /> <br />Officer Tony Paetznick and Deputy Director Olson have met with representatives of Penrod <br />Lane LLC to discuss the submission of the mitigation plan, This plan must be completed by the <br />property owner and at a minimum must include the 24 hour a day contact person, Mr. Joel Seltz, <br />attorney for Penrod Lane, LLC, submitted a mitigation plan via facsimile on November 7, 2006, <br />This plan also references the Spartan Protection Proposal for Improvement of Living and <br />Security dated October 20,2006, In addition, based upon the Spartan Protection proposal, this <br />Agency has also received copies of the Timber Crest Rules and Regulations dated October 27, <br />2006, This mitigation plan with its attached supplemental material addresses critical issues such <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />1:ICOUNClLlREPORTSIZ006\Public S.fetylTimber Crest Provisional Approval.doc <br />
