<br />II <br /> <br />.--- <br /> <br />~ '"..../' <br /> <br />!=' ,. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 85-9 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING PROCEDURES FOR RENAMING CITY STREETS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it may be desirable and practical to rename all or portions of <br />existing public City streets from time to time; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of New Brighton desires to have <br />public streets numbered and named in a logical, sequential manner to ensure <br />easy and efficient location of all properties for delivery of goods and <br />services and emergency purposes; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New <br />Brighton that the following procedures for renaming existing streets are <br />hereby adopted: <br /> <br />A. The City Council may rename all or portions of existing City streets <br />I: after the following procedures have been followed: <br /> <br />;! <br /> <br />1. Requests to change the name of existing City streets shall be <br />considered by the City Council upon receipt of a petition from two-thirds <br />(2/3) of the affected property owners. <br /> <br />2. Upon receipt of a two-thirds (2/3) petition for a street name <br />change, Council sha"ll forward the petition to the City Engineer for a study, <br />report, and recommendation. <br /> <br />B. The City Council may also rename all or a portion of existing <br />city streets at its sole discretion. <br /> <br />C. The criteria for the naming of City streets shall generally <br />apply to the renaming of City streets. <br /> <br /> <br />D.
