The applicant's landscape plan contains a dark line
labeled wood screen which could indicate the construction of a
fence. Staff recommends that the plans be revised to be more
explicit. The fence should be constructed of wood, of an earth
tone to better blend with the landscaped area and be 6 feet in
height. According to code the fence must be located at least
15 feet from the street right-of-way. Therefore, a 15 foot
portion of the proposed fence will have to be eliminated.

With the exception of the fence the site ahd landscape plans meet
all code requirements. From a design standpoint however, a person
traveling on Silver Lake Road would only see a small portion of the
building and a large parking lot. . Staff contends that if the
building were moved to the north, the parking would be split on
each side of the building. This would reduce the visual impact
of the large parking lot from persons traveling on 15th Street N.W.
and Silver Lake Road.
