Section 7-030 lists as permitted uses <br />in an R-2 district anything permitted <br />in an R-l district and two-family <br />dwellings. <br />2. Section 11-110 b. of the zoning code <br />states that townhouses are allowed in <br />an R-2 district by special permit. <br />3. A townhouse as defined in the zoning <br />code is Ila group of three or more <br />single family residences attached to <br />the other with common sidewalks. <br />These dwellings may be one-story or <br />two-story buildings but each unit shall <br />be designed and constructed to house <br />single families. The design, con- <br />struction or use of two-story units to <br />house more than one family shall not <br />be permitted.1I <br /> <br />At its regular meeting April 3, 1980, the <br />Board of Planning held a concept discussion <br />on this matter (see attached minutes). <br />The applicant and a few areas residents <br />were present. <br /> <br />The Comprehensive Plan discusses for this <br />neighborhood that there be adequate buffering <br />and transition areas between the mixure of <br />land uses. This area south of 6th Street SW <br />being zoned and for the most part developed <br />R-2 provides a buffer zone between the <br />Brighton Village Apartments and the single <br />family homes. <br /> <br />/f" <br /> <br />PAST DISCUSSIONS: <br /> <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN: <br />
