<br />City of New Brighton <br />September 23, 1980 <br /> <br />Arlaine Edgett, 520 13th Avenue NW, expressed concern <br />with the soil, cap it support the proposed facilities? <br /> <br />Eileene McKee, 1621 Sioux Boulevard, spoke in favor <br />of the proposed plan. <br /> <br />Mr. Harcus, 1620 Sioux Boulevard, spoke in favor of <br />the proposed park plan. <br /> <br />Motion by Janecek, seconded by Blomquist to approve the <br />'plan as proposed with a single entrance and that widening <br />of the driveway be investigated. <br /> <br />Richard Neumann, 510 13th Avenue NW, spoke to the <br />project. He expressed concern with past improvements <br />that did not work, but stated he felt the proposed <br />plan had merit. <br /> <br />Dennis Foster; 645 17th Avenue NW, questioned how the <br />plans were' formulated. He suggested an incremental <br />approach to the plan, reviewing each facility and the <br />various parts as separate items. <br /> <br />Darle Sylvester, 1619 5th Street NW, stated the <br />Park Board had discussed each facility separately <br />as suggested by Mr. Foster. <br /> <br />Motion by Senden to amend the motion to direct <br />staff to study elongating the parking lot and <br />also that they study whether the tot football <br />field could be moved to a location away from <br />the soccer field. <br /> <br />Amendment died for" lack of second. <br /> <br />Vote on main motion. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />The Mayor declared a recess at 11:52 p.m. <br />Council reconvened at 11:55 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Mark Wojcik, representing Gordon Rendering, <br />wa~~p~esent to answer questions. <br /> <br />~.P-I08, Gordon <br />.r ~endering Co. <br />Report No. 80-164 <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, seconded by Blomquist to <br />approve LP-I08 contingent upon the applicant <br />receiving approval from the Rice Creek Watershed <br />District and also that no outside storage be permitted. <br />5 ayes - 0 nayes - motion carried <br /> <br />-5- <br />
