Winkels, Director of <br /> <br />Attached is a copy of a purchase agreement to acquire the .6 acre parcel <br />On which the New Brighton Medical Center is proposed to be constructed. <br />The purchase agreement is for $45,500 which is consistent with what our <br />appraiser has advised me. This is a negotiated purchase and not a <br />condemnation. The seller has signed the document and the agreement is <br />valid only upon approval and execution by the City Council. If <br />approved the Council should, by motion authorize the Mayor and City <br />Manager to sign the purchase agreement, contingent on execution of the <br />Development Agreement and Assessment agreement. <br /> <br />All of the various agreements must also be made contingent on approval <br />by the Rice Creek Watershed District and the Minnesota Department of <br />Transportation (MN/DOT) of the grading, drainage and ponding. <br /> <br />For our purposes the budget we have been working off of is based on <br />the following: <br /> <br />CITY EXPENSE <br /> <br />Land Acquisition <br />(actual is $45,500) <br /> <br />Curb Cut (City to provide) <br />(City Engineering staff estimate is $827) <br /> <br />$50,000 <br /> <br />$ 1,000 <br /> <br />Sanitary Sewer Relocation <br />(Estimate by City Engineer staff - <br />This project only to be required when <br />and if a building is constructed on <br />western side of this parcel) <br /> <br />$ 8,750 <br /> <br />Fill (to raise site) $14,000 <br />TOrlginal budget was $10,000, negotiated <br />to actual amount, total estimate for fill <br />required exceeds $20,000) <br /> <br />Street Scape Amenties $15,000 <br />(City previously indicated street amenities <br />would be provided - landscaping, sidewalks, <br />amount, etc., still must be worked out with <br />Council, Downtown Advisory Board and Medical <br />Center people. Budgeted amount says this <br />is how much would be spent - maximium) <br />
