I have also shown the drawing <br />to the Fire Chief to get his input. Our comments are as <br />follows: <br /> <br />1. The maximum curb cut width allowed is 36 feet. The <br />curb cut on 1st Avenue NW is much wider than this. <br />2. Driveways can meet the street at no greater than a <br />30 degree angle from a line perpendicular to the <br />street. The driveway with the weigh scale is at an <br />angle 45 degrees from the street. <br />3. A minimum 22 foot driveway width is required. Twenty <br />four feet may be better. <br />4. The driveway along the side the weigh scale must be a <br />minimum of 22 feet wide. This will be required by the <br />fire department. <br />5. The parking and drive area adjacent to 14th Street NW <br />should be setback 40 feet from the property line. <br />6. As we discussed preiously there may be grounds for a <br />parking variance due to the limited amount of employees <br />on duty at one time.
