Galvanized steel is used <br />because of its strength. This, in turn, allows use of smaller <br />sections, reducing the shade in the greenhouse. <br />The gutters are 8W' wide and are supplied with aluminum drip <br />gutters. <br />All bolts and nuts used in the super structure are high-quality steel <br />with a minimum tensile strength of 120,000 PSI. <br /> <br />Gables and Sides: <br />All glazing bars and the bottom sill are made of durable aluminum. <br />The unique neoprene rubber barcap holds the glass firm in place <br />without putty. This barcap allows much less heat loss through the <br />bars than any other type barcap. The barcap can easily be <br />removed and reinstalled in case a broken piece of glass must be <br />replaced. <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />Continuous Vents: <br />Continuous vents can be installed in the gable and/or side of the <br />greenhouse. The extra-heavy construction of these vents insures <br />years of trouble-free operation. <br />Vents are available with inside or outside racks & pinions, and can <br />be operated by motor or manual winch. <br /> <br />Gable Top Bar: <br />The newly-designed aluminum gable top bar will secure the glass <br />in place even during the heaviest storms. <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />Ridges: <br />The slim design of the aluminum ridge gives a minimum of shade. <br />Use of this small ridge profile is possible because the ridge is <br />supported by the roofbars and held down by V-shaped kingrods. <br />This unique roof system has been used on millions of square feet <br />of greenhouses. The hurricanes of the last years have proven the <br />strength of this system. <br /> <br />Triple Roofvents: <br />Oversized aluminum roofvents provide maximum ventilation. The <br />unique motorized arm and rod ventilation system, as pictured on <br />the last page, is the best in the industry. <br /> <br />Gutter Sill: <br />The special extruded aluminum gutter sill makes an air tight <br />connection between the side wall and the gutter. <br /> <br />Double Glazing: <br />Our new and unique system of double glazing revolutionizes <br />glasshouse construction! Finally, an insulated glass wall <br />can be bought at an affordable price! This double glass wall <br />cuts heat loss through the outside walls by 51 %, and pays for <br />itself within a few years. <br /> <br />Foundation: <br />Inside: concrete piers under each post. <br />Outside: concrete piers with a baseboard of rot-proof and unbreakable ' <br />Kemlite panels, or, as an option, a concrete wall. . <br /> <br />Glass: , <br />All glass is 5/32" thick (weight 32 oz. per square foot). Doors are available in the following standard <br />sizes: 10'x9' - 10'x8', 8'x?, and 4'x?'. <br /> <br />Maintenance: <br />Our more than 30 years experience in the design and construction of <br />greenhouses has led to virtually maintenance-free greenhouses. <br />Except for oiling the ventilation system, there are no parts that need <br />regular maintenance. <br />
