The School District and City staff plan to further study the most
appropriate location for pedestrian crossings and traffic signage.

In 1988 the parking area serving Freedom Park is proposed for such improvements
as regrading, new bitumfnous, and curbing. Therfore, staff would recommend the
curbi ng and assocfated site improvements re 1 a ted to the dri veway rea 11 i gnment be
coordinated with those site improvements proposed for Freedom Park's parking area.
This would mean a portion of the curbing which is required to be installed along
the north ~nd west parking areas serving Pike Lake School would not be installed
until the driveway is realligned'and improvements are made to the Freedom Park
lot.

...cM~

Erny Mattila
City Planner
