July 9, 1981
Paul Luxen
Berger Transfer & Storage
3720 NE Macalaster Drive
St. Anthony, Minnesota 55422.
')" P- /?'
RE: Berger Transfer Site On Old Highway #8
Dear Paul:
Pursuant to our conversation at the Berger site on Old Highway
#8, the City staff has agreed to reconsider and reduce the
amount of the letter of credit that the City has on file. In
addition, the City staff has also reconsidered the deadline
for the completion of that work as a result of the present
street improvement project.
In accordance with the site and landscape plans approved by
the City of New Brighton your company has the following items
to complete:
1. The blacktoping of the remainder of the parking
area to the north and west of your existing
building
2. The placement of black dirt and seeding of the
area immediately west of your building;
3. The reconstruction of the weir as required by
the Rice Creek Watershed District; and
4. The sodding and planting of the berm along Old
Highway #8.
It is the understanding of city staff that your firm is unable
because of the street construction along Old Highway #8 to
complete the requirements involved for the baffled weir and
the sodding and landscaping of the berm. In consideration of
that existing situation staff has agreed to extend the deadline
to November 1, 1981. All of the above mentioned items must be
completed by that date.
