Because of the close proximity of. the proposed building to the existing building, the Building Inspector and Fire Department require that there be no windows or doors on the south side of the proposed building and the windows and the door on the north side of the existing office building wtll to be closed off. In addition the proposed building will have to have a two hour fire wall on the south sid ea n d the a p p 1 i cant ,wi 11 have to pro v i de some type of fire retardant shingles on the roof, of the proposed building. The applicant and Tyson Trucking have petitioned the City to vacate 2nd Street S.W.Approval of this building permit application will have to be contingent on the approval of the vacation because with- out the vacation a variance would be needed for side street yard setback.
