Because of the close <br />proximity of the ptoposed building- to the existing building, the <br />Building Inspector and Fire Department requir~ that there be no <br />windows or doors on the sout~ side of the proposed building and <br />the window$ and the do~r on the north side of the existin~ office <br />building will to be closed off. <br /> <br />In addition the proposed building will have to have a two hour fire <br />wall on the, south side and the applicant will have to provide some <br />type of fire retardant shingles on the roof of the proposed building. <br /> <br />The appl i cant and Tyson Trucking have peti ti oned t~e Ci ty to vacate <br />2nd Street S.W. Approval of this building permit application will <br />have to be contingent on the approval of the vacation because with- <br />out the vacation a varian~e would be needed for side street yard setback. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the Board recomm~nd approval of LP-89 by <br />simple motion contingent on the closing off of all doors .and windows <br />between the office buildings, the approval of the vacation of 2nd <br />Street S.W., on the conformance with site and landscape plans <br />signed and dated by the applicant and City Planner, and the final <br />grading and drainage be submitted and approved by the City Engineer. <br /> <br />
