Strafelda <br />Highway Equipment Refinishing <br /> <br />309 Old Highway #8 <br />(Generally east of Old Highway #8, north <br />of Bell Lumber & Pole Company and south <br />of Delaria Transfer Inc.) <br /> <br />EXISTING ZONING: 1-2, Heavy Industrial <br /> <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN PROPOSED LAND USE: Light Industrial <br /> <br />The applicant, presently located at 498 1st Street NWin <br />New Brighton, is proposing to construct an approximately <br />8400 square foot industrial building. The proposed site <br />is regulated by the interim development ordinance which <br />requires a finding that the project is consistent with <br />the Comprehensive Plan prior to formal application for <br />a building permit. <br /> <br />The company is primarily involved in truck painting. This <br />type of use is a permitted use pursuant to Section 9-020 <br />permitted uses, Light Industrial District. <br /> <br />Therefore, it appears that the applicant's proposed use for <br />the property in question is consistent with the proposed light <br />industrial land use classification designated by the proposed <br />Comprehensive Plan. . <br /> <br />- PLANNING COMMISSION CONSIDERATION AND RECOMMENDATION: <br />Extract from Minutes <br />Board of Planning <br />Regular Meeting <br />June 7, 1979 <br /> <br />Chairman Schmidt introduced the request for a finding that <br />the construction of an industrial building is consistent with <br />the proposed Comprehensive Plan. <br />
