Strafelda <br />Highway Equipment Refinishing <br /> <br />LOCATION: <br /> <br />309 Old Highway #8 <br />(Generally east of Old Highway #8, north <br />of Bell Lumber & Pole Company and south <br />of rrelaria Transfer Inc.) <br /> <br />EXISTING ZONING: <br /> <br />I-2~ Heavy Industrial <br /> <br />COM~REHENSIVE PLAN PROPOSED LAND USE: Light Industrial <br /> <br />The applicant, presently located at 498 1st Street N.W. in New <br />Brighton, is proposing to construct an approiimately 8400 square <br />foot. industrial building. The proposed site is regulated by the <br />interim development ordinance which requires a finding that the <br />project is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan prior to formal <br />application for a building permit. <br /> <br />The company is primarily involved in truck painting. This type of <br />use is a permitted use pursuant to Section 9-020 permitted uses, <br />Light Industrial District. <br /> <br />Therefore, it appears that the applicant's proposed use for the <br />property in question is consistent with the proposed light industrial <br />land use classification designated by the proposed Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the applicant's proposed use be found con- <br />sistent with the proposed Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br /> <br />III <br /> <br />
