<br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />06-113 <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br /> <br />UTION making findings of fact and approval of an application for Contamination <br />leanup funds for a portion of the Northwest Quadrant. <br /> <br />AS the City of New Brighton (hereinafter, "the City") has committed to the <br />pment of the Northwest Quadrant area through property acquisitions, developer <br />ion, and technical and financial planning, and <br /> <br />AS the City has incurred and expects to continue to incur costs for envirorunental <br />ent and remediation, and <br /> <br />AS the State of Minnesota offers a grant program to assist local units of government in <br />ng for such costs, <br /> <br />SOLVED that the City hereby approves the Contamination Cleanup grant application to <br />itted to the Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) on <br />er 1,2006 (hereinafter, "the application"), by the City, for the "Northwest Quadrant- <br />Old Highway 8" site. <br /> <br />URTHER RESOLVED that the City agrees to act at the legal sponsor for the project <br />d in the application to be submitted on November I, 2006 and that the City Manager is <br />uthorized to apply to DEED for funding of this project on behalf of the City. <br />--~ <br />URTHER RESOLVED that the City has the leg~lauthority to apply for financial <br />e, and the institutional, managerial, and financlat capability to eri:~ure adequate project <br />~~ . <br /> <br />assls <br />admi <br /> <br />i <br />BE IT .DR THER RE,SOL VED that .the ~our~es and arp.ounts of the local ~atch identified in the <br />applic Ion are commItted to the project IdentIfied. \ \ <br />, \ <br />, '\ <br /> <br />BE IT URTHER RESOLVED that the City has not violclted any Federal, S~ate or local laws <br />pertai . g to fraud, bribery, graft, kickbacks, collusion, coM1ict of interest o~ other unlawful or <br />corrup ractice. <br /> <br />; <br />; <br /> <br /> <br />UR THER RESOLVED that upon approval of its application by th~ state, the City may <br />o an agreement with the State of Minnesota for the above-referenced project, and the City <br />that it will comply with all applicable laws and regulation as s~ed in all contract <br />nts. <br /> <br />,/ <br /> <br />BE IT URTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Acting City Mana~er are hereby authorized to <br />execut such agreements as are necessary to implement the project on lfhalf of the applicant. <br />\ <br />\ <br /> <br />i <br />Ii <br />
