<br />" w. <br /> <br />... <br /> <br />LP-93, NC-41 <br />Page #3 <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION CONSIDERATION AND RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Extract From Minutes <br />Board of Review <br />Regular Meeting <br />June 19, 1979 <br /> <br />- "' <br />Chairman Schmidt stated that the applicant is proposing to construct <br />a metal storage building on a site with Type IV non-conformities. <br /> <br />Representing the applicant, Jack Gysberg of Antler Corporation was <br />present to answer any questions. <br /> <br />Chairman Schmidt voiced concern over the proposed type of buildin~. <br />He felt that the proposed metal building was of substantial size <br />and that the applicant should investigate different means of improving <br />the appearance of the building. There are a large number of <br />residential dwellings to the north of the proposed site and he was <br />concerned over the buildings appearance and compatibility with <br />surroundlng uses to the north. <br /> <br />Mr. Gysberg stated that he could investigate what types of materials <br />are available. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, secand by Williams to recommend approval of NC-41 <br />contingent on the applicant placing slats in the existing chain <br />link fence on the southwestern boundary of the property and that the <br />applicant investigate the possibilities of applying a more aesthetically <br />pleasing exterior wall treatment on the northern end of the proposed <br />building. ' <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, motion carried. <br /> <br />Motion by Schmidt, second by Williams that LP-93 be recommended for <br />approval contingent on compliance with the conditions of NC-41 and <br />conformance with site and landscape plans dated and signed by the <br />applicant and City Planner. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, motion carried. <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION <br /> <br />Staff recommends that NC-41 be approved by waiving the reading and <br />adopting the attached resolution with conditions. Staff also recommends <br />that LP-93 be approved by simple motion contingent on the compliance <br />with conditions of NC-41 and conformance with site and landscape plans <br />dated and signed by the applicant and City Planner. <br /> <br />
