There is some initial concern with south-bound traffic on Old Highway #8 entering this site because of the number o~ lanes of traffic that ha~e to be crossed. An aerial photo is attached to familiarize the Council with this area and the street alignments. An- initial response by the County was that overall-this site will not cause a major traffic problem. If this development is approved, the county will be contacted to conduct a traffic study to determine the necessary signage for the area. Staff reviewed the traffic concerns that might result from the development. Commissioner Lang voiced a concern that the County would be able to.r~duce traffic congestion and i~sure safety of area reside~ts. Commissioner Williams stated that he realized that the traffic problem would be reviewed by the respective engineers but he was concerned about the amount of traffic in that area that already exists and how the development would affect traffic in the area. . ,Mr. Assad stated that he would work closely with the City and County to solve any traffic problems.
