May 11, 1990

Dear Resident

I am writing to inform you the City's Planning Commission will hold a public
meeting on May 15, 1990, at 7:30 p.m. in the City Hall building Council Chambers
located at 803 - 5th Avenue NW. One of the items to be considered at the meeting
is a development proposal for the vacant land and Armstrong Rigging site located
southwest of the County Road E and Old Highway 8 intersection. Since the
proposed development requires site plan review only, no public hearing is
required to be held and public hearing notices are not required to be sent to
adjacent property owners. However, considering the property proposed for
development borders on a residential neighborhood, the City is notifying adjacent
property owners of the public meeting by means of this letter.

The subject property is zoned 1-3, Limited Industrial. The 1-3 district is the
City's most sensitive industrial district and limits the type and intensity of land
use allowed on the site. The company proposing to develop and locate on the
subject site is Remmele Engineering. Remmele is an engineering and high tech
machining company which designs and builds automation equipment and produces
precision machined parts.

The actual building as proposed would total 105,503 square feet. The existing
Armstrong Rigging facility would be removed and the existing residential areas
would be screened from the proposed building by earth berms and evergreens.

If you have any questions or wish to review the proposed development plans prior
to the meeting you may contact me at 631-8340.

EM/pw
