<br />I <br /> <br />Council Meeting Minutes <br />November 13, 1990 <br /> <br />Page 8 <br /> <br />Council Business, continued <br /> <br />Gunderman noted recurring resident concerns of Palmer Drive's traffic <br />levels. He is disappointing that the liquor operation has become <br />unprofitable, but he is satisfied with the offer. He suggested a clause be <br />added to the agreement to restrict possible rerouting of traffic through the <br />residential area, <br /> <br />Rebelein agrees with Gunderman and feels an addendum would address <br />City concerns of Kraus Anderson seeking a change in traffic flow. <br /> <br />Motion by Gunderman, seconded by Rebelein, TO WAIVE THE READING <br />AND ADOPT THE RESOLUTION APPROVING THE SALE OF THE <br />BRANDYWINE/PALMER DRIVE FACILITY TO THE LLOYD ENGELSMA <br />1984 FAMILY TRUST AND AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY <br />MANAGER TO SIGN THE PURCHASE AGREEMENT; AND WITH <br />APPROPRIATE ADDITIONS PERTAINING TO THE RESTRICTION TO <br />KRAUS ANDERSON INVOLVING REROUTING OF TRAFFIC THROUGH THE <br />RESIDENTIAL AREA EITHER THROUGH THE SERVICE ROAD OR THE <br />RIGHT TURN ON PALMER DRIVE. <br /> <br />4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, 1 abstained, Motion Carried <br /> <br />I Benke abstained and requested development of a long range traffic study. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Motion by, seconded by, to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT THE <br />RESOLUTION CONSIDERING AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CITY CODE <br />CHAPTER 4 RELATING TO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Motion by, seconded by, to HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING AT 7:30 P.M. <br />TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 1990 FOR REVISION OF CITY CODE <br />SECTION 4-96, RELATING TO THE HOURS OF SALE OF INTOXICATING <br />LIQUOR ON SUNDAYS. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Williams, to HOLD A PUBLIC HEARING <br />AT 7:30 P.M.
