HEAD'S APPROVAL: Kevin Locke, Director of Community Development <br /> <br />MANAGER'S REVIEW/RECOMMENDATION:~~ <br /> <br />No comments to supplement this report X <br /> <br />Comments attached <br /> <br />EXPLANA TION/SUMMARY (attach supplemental sheets as necessary) <br /> <br />To consider a proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Plan redesignating certain property in New Brigh~on <br />from Medium Density Residential to Limited Business; to consider a second reading of an ordinance rezoning <br />certain property in New Brighton from R-2 to B-1 (R-137), and to consider site plan approval of LP-274. <br /> <br />PAST ACTION 1. <br />. On June 15, 1993, the Planning Commission held a public hearing and recommended approval of the <br />proposed Comprehensive Plan amendment, <br />. On June 7, 1993, the City Council gave a first reading to an ordinance rezoning the Wooddale Builders' <br />property in New Brighton from R-2, Two Family Residential, to B-1, Limited Business, <br />. On May 25, 1993, the City Council continued consideration of R-137 and LP-274 to allow the two parties <br />involved to determine a course of action acceptable to both parties, <br />. Previous past action see attached report, <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Motion to WAIVE THE READING AND ADOPT THE ATTACHED RESOLUTION AMENDING <br />THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN BY REDESIGNATING CERTAIN PROPERTY IN NEW <br />BRIGHTON FROM MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO LIMITED BUSINESS. <br />2. Motion to WAIVE THE READING AND GIVE A SECOND READING AND ADOPT AN <br />ORDINANCE REZONING CERTAIN PROPERTY IN NEW BRIGHTON FROM R-2, TWO <br />FAMILY RESIDENTIAL, TO B-1 LIMITED BUSINESS. <br />3. Motion to APPROVE LP-274, SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS. <br />1. APPROVAL OF GRADING AND DRAINAGE PLAN BY THE CITY ENGINEER. <br />2. APPROVAL OF PERMIT BY RICE CREEK WATERSHED DISTRICT, IF NECESSARY. <br />3. ANY STORAGE OF EQUIPMENT OR VEmCLES IN THE PARKING AREA <br />IMMEDIATELY SOUTH OF THE GARAGE WOULD NECESSITATE THE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF AN OPAQUE FENCE AT LEAST FIVE FEET IN HEIGHT <br />AROUND THE SUBJECT PARKING AREA. <br />4. THE PROVISION OF A BOND OR LETTER OF. CREDIT IN THE AMOUNT EQUAL TO <br />100% OF THE COST TO INSTALL CURBING, PAVED AREAS, AND LANDSCAPING. <br />5. APPROVAL OF R-137. ''"' / <br />\., <br /> <br />
