<br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held <br />Tuesday, February 13, 1990, at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Brandt, Gunderman, Larson, and Williams. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />David Childs, City Manager <br />Charlie LeFevere, City Attorney <br />Kevin Locke, Community Development Director <br />Les Proper, Public Works Director <br /> <br />Mayor Benke introduced members of Boy Scout Troop #419 from Valentine Hills School. <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Moti on by Brandt, seconded by Larson, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES OF JANUARY 23, 1990. <br /> <br />III 5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with Council consent, received the minutes of the <br />Environmental Quality Commission - December 13, 1989; Planning <br />Commission - December 19, 1989; Economic Development Commission - <br />January 16, 1990, and January 30, 1990; and Air Quality Board - <br />January 29, 1990. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Florence lamor, Tri -Ci ty Ameri can Legi on, presented an $18,000 <br />donation for the construction of Veteran's Park Plaza, In addition, <br />a $500.00 donation was made to the Park and Recreation Department <br />and an American Flag set was donated for display in the City Hall. <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Gunderman, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE A RESOLUTION THANKING THE TRI-CITY AMERICAN LEGION FOR THEIR <br />DONATION AND MAKING BUDGET CHANGES AS NECESSARY. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Special Order of <br />Business <br /> <br />Tri-City Legion <br />Donation <br />Report 90-24 <br />Resolution 90-10 <br />
