The documents 1 i sted <br />events held at the Legion and noted if alcohol was served. Larson <br />said the report illustrates the many times the Legion has donated <br />the use of the backroom to commun i ty groups. Larson feels the <br />Legion should be commended for their many contributions to the City <br />and various community groups. <br /> <br />Motion by Larson, seconded by Benke, to APPROVE THE RENEWAL OF THE <br />CHARITABLE GAMBLING LICENSE FOR THE TRI-CITY AMERICAN LEGION. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Announcements and Updates <br /> <br />There will be a Council workshop on January 3rd at 5:30 p.m. to <br />discuss and review the Boards and Commissions applications. <br />Councilmembers should bring their 1990 goals and issues to the work <br />session. <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Tri-City American <br />Legion Charitable <br />Gambling License <br />Report 89-305 <br /> <br />Announcements & Updates <br /> <br />Council Workshop <br /> <br />Larson referred to the Community Center/Armory report and noted the <br />di sparity in the number of Guard veh i cl es to be stored at the <br />facility. Childs acknowledged the Task Force has also questioned <br />these figures. More detailed information will be supplied by the <br />Guard. <br /> <br />Williams has been elected 1990 President of the Ramsey County League Williams Elected 1990 <br />of Local Governments. The RCtLG wi 11 meet with the Ramsey County RCLLG Pres i dent <br />Legislative delegation on January 17th at the State Office Building. <br /> <br />Community Center/Armory <br />Report <br /> <br />A resident contacted Larson in regards to a very loud dog in their <br />neighborhood. Recently, the case went before a judge and the dog Dog & Cat Ordinance <br />owner received merely a "slap on the wrist." The outcome was quite <br />a disappointment because of the many hours of investigative work <br />wh i ch was done by the Commun i ty Servi ce Offi cer and the City <br />Prosecutor. Williams noted the presentation of a Dog Ordinance is <br />scheduled for a January Council Meeting. LeFevere said an outcome <br />such as th i s is not unusual and added the strengthen i n9 of the <br />ordinance may be required. <br /> <br />The Teambuilding Session is scheduled for January 20th and 21st at Teambuilding Session <br />the Northland Inn. <br /> <br />Copies of the Boards and Commissions applications will be included Boards and Commissions <br />in the December 28th Council packet.
