<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />~ COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was held <br />Tuesday, August 22, 1989, at 7:35 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Brandt, Gunderman, Larson, and Williams. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />David Childs, City Manager <br />Erny Mattila, City Planner <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br />Charlie LeFevere, City Attorney <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Brandt, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE AS CORRECTED THE AUGUST 8, 1989, COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, wi th Counci 1 consent, recei ved the mi nutes of the <br />following commissions: Economic Development Commission - June 29, <br />1989; Environmental Quality Commissioy; - July 12, 1989; and the <br />Planning Commission - July 18, 1989. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Donald Salverda, Ramsey County Commissioner, introduced Ramsey <br />County staff members Terry Schutten, Executive Director; Greg Mack, <br />Parks and Recreation Director; and Ken Weltzin, County Engineer. <br /> <br />Mr. Salverda said Ramsey County has been changing and growing in <br />many ways.
