TO SELL ICE CREAM NOVELTIES FROM A TRUCK. <br /> <br />III 4 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Public Hearing - None <br /> <br />Council Business <br /> <br />Erny Mattila, City Planner, presented for consideration an <br />initiation of rezoning for the JUO Property. <br /> <br />Pratt Homes has proposed a development which would require the <br />rezoning of 7.4 acres along Silver Lake Road and County Road E from <br />R-l, Single Family Residential to B-3, General Business. <br /> <br />Pratt Homes is pursuing the rezoning in order to accommodate a gas <br />station and convenience commercial center in the northwest quadrant <br />of Silver Lake Road and County Road E. <br /> <br />Mattila explained that the city allows rezoning of property to be <br />considered only if: the applicant presents a petition in favor of <br />the rezoning which is signed by more than 50% of the property owners <br />within 200 feet of the site, or if the rezoning is initiated by the <br />Council. Pratt Homes has declined to petition for the rezoning, and <br />instead is requesting of Council to initiate the rezoning process. <br />Initiating the rezoning process does not commit the Council to <br />approve the rezoning; it only starts the process. <br />
