DATE: May 16®- 19y2 <br />• CASE NUIvIbER: SP 4b <br />APPLICANT: Northwest Investments <br />LOCATION: Arden Court Apartments <br />REQUEST: Special Use Permit for Day Care Center <br />PLANNING CONSIDERATIONS: (See Report SP~15) (Day Nursery) <br />Please review Zoning Code Sections noted in Report for SP 45. <br />The issuance of a-Special Use Permit should be based on -the following: (1) Need for <br />proposed use, (2) location, (3) effect on suerounding uses® and (4) health, welfare <br />and safety of the general public is inhanced. <br />both of these requests (SP 45 and 46) meet in a positive way criteria 1, 2 and 3 <br />above. Criteria 4 cannot be guaranteed, but attempts should be made to elim-mate <br />possible undersirable elements. State laws and licensing procedure must be fol- <br />lowed. The Village should probably require periodic inspection by Fire and Health <br />Inspectors to supplement State Inspections. The Village should review annually the <br />conditions of the permit. <br />The need for day care centers is apparent. The Federal Government recognizes <br />this need and several programs have been initiated to promote day care activities. <br /> <br />
