<br />Village of New Brighton <br />Council Proceedings <br />May 22, 1973 <br />Motion by Bromander, seconded by Rebelein <br />to appoint Mr. Jack Eagon to the County Route <br />Ridership Committee <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Public Hearings <br />Attorney stated hearing was properly called <br />Mr. James Hessburg, 1595 7th Street N.W., spoke <br />in favor of the street vacation <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Fisher to close hearing <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Fisher to waive reading <br />of resolution and to adopt resolution entitled <br />RESOLUTION VACATING THAT PORTION OF 16TH AVENUE N.W. <br />ABUTTING LOTS 27 THROUGH 30 AND THAT PORTION OF THE <br />ALLEY ABUTTING LOTS 27 THROUGH 30 AND LOTS 1 THROUGH 4 <br />ALL IN BLOCK 8, SYNDICATE ADDITION TO MINNEAPOLIS <br />STOCKYARDS ALL WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF NEW BRIGHTON <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Unfinished Business <br />Motion by Rebelein, seconded by Fisher.to reconsider <br />action in regard to traffic circulation plan, Kraus <br />Anderson, Brighton Village Shopping Center <br />4 ayes -'0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Bromander, seconded by Fisher to grant <br />approval of traffic circulation plan, Kraus <br />Anderson Brighton Village Shopping Center dated <br />May 22, 1973 subject to the review by the Village <br />Engineer to insure that signs are consistent with the <br />previous signing plan and that no right turn signs <br />be indicated on the two exits to Palmer Drive as <br />required in the parking variance approved by the <br />Council for the shopping center. <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Motion by Fisher, seconded by Rebelein to direct <br />administration to allow construction in the area <br />of the Pike Lake Drive entry to the shopping <br />center subject to the final review of the Engineer <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Public Hearings <br />Attorney stated hearing was properly"called <br />Mr. Ted Mohnkern, Building Chairman, Atonement Lutheran <br />Church, explained to the council that plans had been <br />revised in accordance with the recommendation of the <br />Planning Commission <br />Motion by Eagon, seconded by Rebelein to close hearing <br />4 ayes - 0 nayes - carried <br />Route Rider- <br />ship <br />Appointment <br />Street <br />Vacation <br />RESOLUTION <br />#1223 <br />Reconsider <br />Traffic Plan <br />(SP-50) <br />AtoneMent <br />Lutheran <br />Church <br />2
