<br />New Brighton Mayor Gayle Bromander
<br />officially signed a Proclamation begin-
<br />ning the observation of the "Week of The
<br />Y oungChild." The national event con-
<br />tinues from April 7 through April 12.
<br />"The Week of The Young Child" seeks
<br />to emphasize the rights, needs and well-
<br />being of all young children. It is also a
<br />time for centers in the state as well as the
<br />nation to awaken public interest in the
<br />programs and services for young
<br />children,
<br />
<br />BUILDING BLOCK Nursery School and Day Care Children
<br />presented Mayor Bromander with a "Week of the Young Child"
<br />buUon and poster. Watching him sign the Proclamation are

<br />sponsors the annual event in conjunction

<br />Education of Young Children (NAEYC),
<br />Day Care Centers and Nursery Schools
<br />in the area are observing the event by
<br />having open houses, art displays,
<br />equipment displays, decorating area
<br />business windows and inviting public
<br />offi(:als as well as parents of 2112-6 year
<br />olds to visit during the week.
