<br />-::. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br /> <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was <br />held Tuesday, July 26, 1988, at 7:30 p.m. in the municipal building, 803 Fifth Avenue <br />NW. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Larson, and Williams. <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Councilmembers Brandt and Gunderman <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: <br /> <br />~.~,~ : <br /> <br />Henry Sinda, City Manager <br />Charlie LeFevere, City Attorney <br />John Kelley, Chief of Police <br />Kevin Locke, Community Development Director <br /> <br />Richard Wriskey, City Forester <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Williams to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE MINUTES OF JULY 12, 1988, COUNCIL MEETING. <br /> <br />3 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with council consent, received the Minutes of the <br />Environmental Quality Commission, June 7, 1988; Planning <br />Commission, June 21, 1988; Economic Development Commission, June <br />29, 1988. <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Mayor Benke introduced Mr. Bob Johnson, 1988-89 Stockyard Day1s <br />Committee, Chairman. Mr. Johnson presented a plaque to the <br />Police, Fire, Parks and Recreation, and the Council thanking all <br />for their support and encouragement during the recent Stockyard <br />Days Celebration. Benke commended Mr. Johnson and his staff for a <br />fine job and he has heard many favorable comments about the <br />activities and especially the move to Hanson Park. <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Councilmember Williams would like to move the Item No.6, "Award <br />Contract for Freedom Park Grading and Drainage" to Council Busi- <br />ness for discussion. <br /> <br />Motion by Williams, seconded by Larson to APPROVE THE CONSENT <br />AGENDA ITEMS AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Special Order of <br />Business <br /> <br />Stockyard Day's Plaque <br /> <br />Consent Agenda <br /> <br />Non-consent Item #6 <br />move to Council <br />Business <br />
