<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />COUNCIL PROCEEDINGS <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Pursuant to notice thereof, a regular meeting of the New Brighton City Council was <br />held on June 28, 1988, at 7:30 P.M. in the Municipal Building, 803 Fifth Avenue NW. <br /> <br />Present: Mayor Benke, Councilmembers Brandt, Gunderman, Larson, and Williams <br />(Gunderman arrived 7:35 P.M.) <br /> <br />Also <br />Present: Henry Sinda, City Manager <br />Maurie Anderson, Park Director <br />Margaret Egan, Finance Director <br />Gary Ellis, Liquor Director <br />Kevin Locke, Community Development Director <br />Erny Mattila, City Planner <br />Les Proper, City Engineer <br />Gary Berger, Assistant to the City Manager <br />Charles LeFevere, City Attorney <br /> <br />Council Mi nutes <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Williams, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />APPROVE THE MINUTES OF JUNE 14, 1988, COUNCIL MEETING. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion Carried <br /> <br />Council Minutes <br /> <br />Commission Minutes Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Mayor Benke, with council consent, received the Minutes of the <br />Park Board of June 1, 1988. <br /> <br />Councilmember Brandt advised she will ask the Park Board to cor- <br />rect Section IV, last paragraph (regarding the park on Pike Lake), <br />noting it should read "she felt they would not want it to be a <br />park". <br /> <br />Special Order of Business <br /> <br />Mayor Benke acknowledged receipt of a donation for $1,000 from the <br />Lionesses; he thanked them for this donation, noting how important <br />they are to the City, allowing us to acquire items we may not oth- <br />erwise be able to get. <br /> <br />Motion by Benke, seconded by Brandt, to WAIVE THE READING AND <br />ADOPTA RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A BUDGET CHANGE TO ALLOW THE PARK <br />DEPARTMENT TO PURCHASE BENCHES FOR VETERANS PARK FROM DONATED <br />FUNDS. <br /> <br />5 Ayes - 0 Nayes, Motion carried. <br /> <br />Special Order of <br />Business <br /> <br />Authorize Budget <br />Change/Lion~~:;, <br />Donation <br />Report 88-183 <br />Resolution 88-63 <br />
