I installed it myself to cut down expenses, <br />ang the sign would have to be ruined to move it. <br />When I installed the sign I was under the false idea <br />that I could merely replace the old with the new. They <br />say the exact same thing. <br />I feel that my new sign is in the "spirit" of the new <br />sign ordinance in that something old and broken was re- <br />placed with something new and more attractive. The <br />old sign was itself not within the new code says in- <br />spector of buildings Don Peterson, because it had little <br />moveable metal reflectors that sparkled when the wind <br />blew them. The new sign is, I am told, within the new <br />code. <br />One thing that I cannot understand is how this sign <br />is refered--:;to as a roof-top sign when it is at least <br />10 feet below the roof. I would think that my sign <br />b:elongs in a diferent group, a legal group. <br />I made a costly effort to improve my business and in <br />doing so I sincerely feel I also improved the appearance <br />of old downtown New Brighton. <br />
