RESOLUTION NO. 1976 STATE OF MINNESOTA COUNTY OF RAMSEY CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL USE PERMIT NO. 78. WHEREAS, an application for a special use permit No. 78 has been made to the city and said application has been processed, reviewed by the Planning Commission and considered by the Council at a public hearing, and WHEREAS, the property at 2050-2170 Silver Lake Road known as Rice Creek Center isa shopping center within the meaning of the term as defined in Section 14-180 a.2., and .\ II I I I I WHEREAS, the New Brighton Zoning Code states that shopping centers may be designated as areas of special control for purposes of sign regulation, and Resolutions No. 1933 and 19~8 have designated the Rice Creek Center as an area of special control, and WHEREAS, the New Brighton Zoning Code states that in areas of special control, the City Council may establish special sign regulations by special permit, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of New Brighton that the following Findings of Fact are made in respect to SP-78: FINDINGS OF FACT l. That an application for SP-78 was filed with the city on August 10, 1977: 2. That the application met the technical requirements for consideration by the city: 3. That the Planning Commission considered the application at its meetings held on August 16, 1977, September 20, 1977, September 28, 1977 and October l8, 1977: 4. That the City Council, pursuant to published and mailed notice, held a public hearing on October 25, 1977 to consider the application: , 5. The written comments and analysis of the City Planner, the Planning Commission minutes and recommendations, and all persons. statements made at the public hearing were considered including the statements of the applicant.
