<br />RESOLUTION NO. 1976 <br /> <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />COUNTY OF RAMSEY <br />CITY OF NEW BRIGHTON <br /> <br /> <br />RESOLUTION MAKING FINDINGS OF FACT AND APPROVING APPLICATION <br />FOR SPECIAL USE PERMIT NO. 78. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an application for a special use permit No. 78 <br />has been made to the city and said application has been <br />processed, reviewed by the Planning Commission and considered <br />by the Council at a public hearing, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the property at 2050-2170 Silver Lake Road <br />known as Rice Creek Center isa shopping center within the <br />meaning of the term as defined in Section 14-180 a.2., and <br /> <br /> <br />.\ <br />II <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the New Brighton Zoning Code states that <br />shopping centers may be designated as areas of special <br />control for purposes of sign regulation, and Resolutions <br />No. 1933 and 19~8 have designated the Rice Creek Center as <br />an area of special control, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the New Brighton Zoning Code states that in <br />areas of special control, the City Council may establish <br />special sign regulations by special permit, <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br />City of New Brighton that the following Findings of Fact are <br />made in respect to SP-78: <br /> <br />FINDINGS OF FACT <br /> <br />l. That an application for SP-78 was filed with the city on <br />August 10, 1977: <br /> <br />2. That the application met the technical requirements for <br />consideration by the city: <br /> <br />3. That the Planning Commission considered the application <br />at its meetings held on August 16, 1977, September 20, <br />1977, September 28, 1977 and October l8, 1977: <br /> <br />4. That the City Council, pursuant to published and mailed <br />notice, held a public hearing on October 25, 1977 to <br />consider the application: <br /> <br />, <br /> <br /> <br />5. The written comments and analysis of the City Planner, <br />the Planning Commission minutes and recommendations, and <br />all persons. statements made at the public hearing were <br />considered including the statements of the applicant. <br />
